Hi, I am Danna. Don't worry, the two N's throw everyone off. It's pronounced Dan - na. I'll correct you once, then I just answer.  Castillo is even harder to pronounce-at least it was for me.

The above photo is me with Castillo Kid #3 at his last high school football game, back in the day... like the fall of 2013.

I am a BOY MOM x3 and thrilled I also have a daughter. Equally thrilled I only have one.  Thank Goodness they are now young adults, which means I survived...I think?  I have an incredibly patient and wonderful husband that is encouraging me to keep creating along with a rambunctious Australian shepherd named Cisco,  I certainly can't complain.  I remind my kids how cool I am constantly, which in turn is met with an eye roll or a loud sigh in frustration from them.   I enjoy sarcasm.  I can neither confirm or deny that Sassy may have been used from time to time to describe my personality.  I have also been told I have a memorable laugh...I can live with that, I mean seriously, it could be worse.  I love Milk Duds and M & M's and yes...bacon. I prefer a Coke over Coffee (but bring me a Sweet Tea anytime!), I now prefer summer over winter, mainly because I fell snowboarding a few years ago and injured my knee (at least my kids friends thought I was cool and for the record, I was a decent rider).

I love creating. I love capturing cool moments.  I began photography as a hobby.  My Dad, also a hobbyist, handed down to me his trusty Canon Camera.  It's been a long but incredibly enjoyable journey for me. My favorite images to capture are families, kids, high school seniors, events and sports. NO WEDDINGS...instead, you may find me in a corner crying from the rigorous schedule of the wedding day. At least I  am honest.

After being a successful hairdresser with 30+ years of experience, I decided to step up my game and  took my love for photography to the next level, which keeps me in the creative realm.

Finding the right photographer for you isn't easy, but the search is a vital part of the process.  I am the girl that doesn't work out of a traditional studio, I carry my gear on my back...well mostly in my backpack. I climb on stuff or lay down on the muddy ground, I laugh loud and can talk your ear off but I thrive on finding what brings out the real you in a cool location, because let's face it, when YOU look good, I look good, it's a Win/Win for us both.  I am really enjoying the creative side of Sports Art and continue to grow and learn new skills.

I love variety and that is what I hope to provide you with. I want each session to be fun and completely unique to that person or group, so our consultation during the booking process of your session in person, via telephone or email will help us set the foundation for a good time.

I love capturing the Mom shots. You know, the ones that makes Mom's heart melt the minute she sees it??

So go ahead and stalk my website, Facebook and Instagram pages (make sure to follow me too). When you are ready to book your session, send me an EMAIL.  I can't wait to get my lens on YOU!

Here is hoping you have an awesome day!
